Advanced Flatwater SUP or equivalent is essential.
Strong paddling skills and the ability to independently get back on your board are required.
Must hold a valid BC Tidal Waters Sport Fishing Licence and a Salmon Conservation Stamp (if you plan to fish or crab).
Day 1 (Friday, August 15th): Meet early in Deep Cove for gear organization. Paddle the beautiful waters of Indian Arm to our remote campsite at Granite Falls. Set up camp, then enjoy the option to relax, explore, or join our guides for afternoon fly fishing and crabbing.
Day 2 (Saturday, August 16th): Full day dedicated to enjoying the Granite Falls area. You can choose to join our guides for fishing and crabbing activities, explore the wilderness, or simply relax at camp.
Day 3 (Sunday, August 17th): An early morning departure (by 5:00 AM) from the campsite to take advantage of calmer morning conditions before afternoon winds typically build. Enjoy a final paddle back to Deep Cove, filled with memories of your wilderness escape.
One evening meal is included to be shared by the group. We will share any crabs or fish caught, but participants will still need to bring all other meals for the duration of the trip.
Your own touring-style SUP and paddle.
Full SUP safety gear (PFD, whistle, leash, etc.).
Appropriate exposure clothing for paddling and comfortable camp layers.
Multi-day camping gear.
Your own fly fishing gear (if you plan to fly fish).
Your own crabbing gear (if you plan to crab).
Valid BC Tidal Waters Sport Fishing Licence and a Salmon Conservation Stamp (if you plan to fish or crab).
A full packing list will be provided upon registration.
Rental touring boards and camping gear are available if needed.
This is not an instructional course for fishing or crabbing. Participants are expected to have prior knowledge and skills if they choose to actively participate in these activities, as we will not be teaching these skills on the trip.
Participants are comfortable being self-sufficient in their paddling and camping activities.
