Prior experience in flatwater SUP is essential.
Strong paddling skills and the ability to independently get back on your board are required.
Morning Departure: Meet your guides in North Vancouver for a scenic drive to Whistler.
River Exploration: Enjoy a scenic paddle along the River of Golden Dreams, navigating its twists and turns.
Green Lake Crossing: Experience the grandeur of Green Lake, honing your paddling skills in potentially breezy conditions.
Guided Instruction: Receive expert guidance and instruction throughout the day, learning valuable river paddling techniques.
Scenic Stops: Enjoy breaks at scenic viewpoints and a leisurely lunch.
SUP: Bring an inflatable SUP no hard boards, 12'6" or shorter (the turns are too tight for 14' boards). Pack a river fin if you have one and your standard fin.
Essential Gear: PFD, whistle, river leash (ankle leash acceptable but may be cumbersome), and 3 liters of water.
Clothing: This is a glacier fed river, so it's cold, dress for immersion in cold water. Water shoes, neoprene bottoms, or dry shorts are essential.
Gear: Pack light! Bring a 20-liter dry bag for snacks, lunch, and a compact towel. Waterproof camera recommended. Sunscreen and a hat.
Comfort: Bring a change of clothes for the ride home (leave in the vehicle at the endpoint).
This is a challenging tour. Expect to get wet!
iSUPs only (no hardboards)..
Kayak conversion seats are welcome but must be secured properly.
